Chairman’s Report

Many favourable comments have been received from members, residents and visitors regarding the Christmas lights and the Dickensian evening. The meeting agreed that all those who had been involved in securing funding for lights, arranging trees and lights, and organizing the Dickensian evening should be congratulated. This required considerable effort from the few members who assisted. It was agreed that for next year additional help should be sought from other members to spread the load more evenly.

Dickensian  Evening

It was agreed that the 2005 event will take place on Thursday 15th December 2005.  We will aim to increase the musical entertainment for next Christmas. Both the St Minver Band and the Lostwithiel Town Band will be invited to perform. Action KS

In 2004 several pubs organised music on various dates close to 16th December.  If pubs could provide musical events to coincide with the 2005 Dickensian Evening on 15th December this would enhance the appeal of the evening.

There is still scope to increase the number of Christmas trees in town. A further 20 brackets to be ordered.  Action AB
